Energy Minister G. Jagadishwar Reddy promised to build an exclusive indoor stadium for table tennis in Nalgonda district head quarters within a year.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the four day 2nd inter-district and 2nd State Championships of Telangana at Indoor Stadium in Nalgonda here on Sunday, the Energy Minister said that the construction of indoor stadium would help to train more players.
As many as 413 players from 10 Telangana districts have been competing in the four day State-level competitions in eight categories. The organisers have arranged eight tables to conduct 412 matches during the four day event.
National players -- Nina Jaiswal, Snehit, Harikrishna, Akula Srija, Nikitha Bhanu and others were participating in the State championship.
Collector P. Satyanarayana Reddy, Telangana State Table Tennis Association secretary P. Prakash Raj and others were present.
