Minister inspects Khammam localities

Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao has directed the engineers concerned to speed up works on the new railway under bridge (RUB) at Saradhinagar for throwing open the new facility for public by Ugadi festival next year.

Mr. Rao made a whirlwind tour of various localities in the town on Friday to oversee the execution of various developmental works under the Khammam municipal corporation limits. He performed special pujas at Ramalayam near the NSP camp. He asked the officials to lay an approach road to the temple from the bypass road side for the benefit of the devotees. He inspected the ongoing road widening works at Prakashnagar in the town. According to official sources, the Minister inaugurated the new office building of the Minor Irrigation Department built at an estimated cost of Rs 1.70 crore near the R & B Guest House.

Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Collector K Ilambarithi and others were present.
