Michael Faraday’s anniversary celebrated

The department of electronics and communications engineering (ECE), GITAM University, organised a memorial for Michael Faraday and celebrated Engineers Day at the Manjeera hall on Thursday. Faraday is known as Father of Electronics.

Addressing the students, N. Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor, GITAM, said that they can achieve their dreams if they work hard. “Based on the interest, one can learn many things and there is no barrier to learning,” he said.

On the occasion, Prof. Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor, GITAM, announced that Cisco Development Centre would come up at the campus shortly.

The ECE department conducted essay writing, picture perception, electronic sketch, CIRCUTRIX, poster presentation, face painting, and multimedia presentation competitions, and distributed the certificates to the winners.

GITAM School of Technology principal Ch. Sanjay was also present.
