Medak set to lose its prominence

August 20, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 20, 2016 03:18 pm IST - SANGAREDDY:

With Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao making up his mind for trifurcation of Medak district, the existing district would lose its importance of being the Chief Minister’s native district.

The existing district would get trifurcated into Siddipet, Medak and Sangareddy districts.

Siddipet will stand to gain with two most powerful persons - Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao and Mr. Harish Rao - representing the district. Coming to Medak, it would be represented by Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy.

Coming to Sangareddy district, it will have no representation in the Cabinet. The agitation taken up by the locals had finally influenced Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao to take a decision in favour of forming Medak district. Though some analysts predicted that there may not be formation of Medak district, the Chief Minister proved them wrong.
