Mandal-level ‘padya dharana’ contest held

Sirisha of Zilla Parishad Secondary School, Puttakota, and Sri Brunda Vaibhavi of Harvest School, Khammam, bagged the first and second prizes respectively in the mandal-level Padya Dharana contest held at Recob Bazaar Government high school in the town on Friday.

According to a press release, the Padya Dharana competitions were organised jointly by the School Education Department, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and Sri Pavani Seva Samithi.

The contest was held on Satakas of Pothana Bhagavatham.

The district level competitions will be conducted at 10 am on December 15 at the same venue here.
