A 55-year-old man was stabbed to death late Tuesday night by some miscreants at Dasarigudem village under Narketpally police stations limits.
The deceased has been identified as Sriloju Ramalinga Chary.
According to Narketpally police, the deceased was working as labourer at a poultry farm. After having dinner, the police said Chary was proceeding towards the poultry to guard it during the night. He was attacked by a couple of armed miscreants in the heart of the village. He died on the spot. Since the deceased Ramalinga Chary and his brother were beaten up by some villagers in the past on charges of they practising black magic, the police said that the family members were suspecting their hand in the murder.
A case has been registered. The investigation is on.
