Kuchipudi dancers perform ‘Metla Nruthyothsavam’

As many as 24 classical dancers from Bhavanalaya Sangeetha Nruthya Nilayam of Secunderabad, danced their way up to Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta here on Monday. They performed Kuchipudi dance while trekking the hill as part of the ‘Metla Nruthyothsavam’. According to officials in temple administration, the performance began at 7 a.m. with kumbha harathi at Vaikuntadhwaram and concluded with Adharvana Vedha performance on the hill.

The 24 dancers were joined by 30 others from the same academy atop the hill. The performance was the main attraction on the hill shrine on Monday which was witnessed by a huge number of devotees.

The temple priests have offered special darshan to the Kuchipudi dancers later.

In view of summer holidays, Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple continued to receive huge influx of devotees.
