KU chess team for South Zone tourney finalised

A six-member chess team has been selected to represent Kakatiya University in South-Zone Inter-University Tournament 2015-16 being organised by Amrita University, Coimbatore Tamil Nadu. The tournament will begin from October 6 and will conclude on October 10.

The team members are M Srikanth, Ch Naga Raju, P Surender, Upendra Sai Kumar, K Kiran and M Uday Kumar, informed the University Sports Board secretary Prof. B Digamber Rao.

Physical director at Warangal based Sri Gayathri Degree and PG College, O Shanker, will act as a coach cum manager and accompany the chess team.
