KLIP will transform upland Sircilla: KTR

Foundation laid for agriculture college

Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K. Taraka Rama Rao said that the upland Sircilla region would be transformed on the agricultural front with the completion of Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project (KLIP).

Speaking after participating in a ceremony for laying of foundation stone for Agriculture College in Sardapur village in Sircilla mandal on Wednesday along with Minister for Agriculture Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Mr. Rama Rao said that around two lakh acres of land in the Sircilla and Vemulawada Assembly segments would be irrigated with the KLIP waters in the next six months .

Minister for Agriculture Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that the Agriculture College would be of immense use to the the region.

Stating that the college would come in sprawling 70 acres of land at a cost of ₹70 crore, he promised to take measures to launch the Agriculture College from this academic year.
