Khammam police arrest two Maoists

Two Maoists including a militia commander were nabbed by the police in Chennapuram forest area in Charla mandal of Khammam District in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to police sources, Paddam Kamaiah, Secretary, Revolutionary People's Committee (RPC), Chennapuram and Ravva Bheemaiah, militia commander of Bakkachingalapadu of Charla mandal were apprehended by a police team during an anti-Maoist operation in Chennapuram forest area.

The detained RPC secretary was allegedly involved in around 50 offences including several murder cases and incidents of arson besides one bank robbery case in Bhadrachalam Division in the last few years.
