Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Sunday, warned party MLAs to quit the party and their posts if they failed to fulfil promises.

The Chief Minister visited the Garibnagar slum that falls under Parkal Assembly segment represented by MLA Ch. Dharma Reddy, who joined the TRS recently from TDP, and the SR Nagar slum under Wardhannapet Assembly, represented by TRS MLA Aruri Ramesh.

Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao interacted with the residents and addressed public gatherings during which he reiterated his promise of providing double bedroom houses to those eligible and distribution of ownership pattas to those living on government lands.

“I told officials to conduct a survey and prepare the pattas, which I will distribute in the next two days. Please stay in your houses when the survey is being conducted and cooperate with officials,” he told the public.

“We will change Garibnagar to Ameernagar,” he told the cheering residents of the slum. He said all the slums in and around Warangal district headquarters would be developed into modern colonies. All amenities such as roads, power and water connections will be provided to the colonies.

Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday conducted ‘Praja Darbar’ and gave audience to the grievances of the public and party leaders.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., he received petitions at the residence of former Minister and TRS senior leader V. Lakshmikantha Rao.
