KCR taking people for a ride: Kishan Reddy

Chief Minister promising schemes worth crores of rupees, but ignoring basic needs of people in Telangana

March 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

The BJP State president and MLA, G. Kishan Reddy, has accused the Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, of building castles in the air ignoring the basic realities and facts. “Mr. KCR is making promises worth thousands of crores day in and day out, but not telling from where he can bring the amount?” he says.

Addressing the party’s extended meeting here on Monday, Mr. Kishan Reddy alleged that the unemployed educated youth were being lathi-charged, foisted false cases and put in prisons for asking jobs in government. There were 20,000 vacant teacher posts and 1.25 lakh posts in various government departments. However, there was no sign of efforts to fill them even after ten months of assuming power by Mr. Rao, he said.

“This is the predicament of the unemployed youth, who fought for the so-called Bangaru (golden) Telangana, but liquor, land and sand mafias were ruling the roost. The pink party’s leaders were leading those mafias, ” he stated.

Coming down heavily on the TRS chief, the BJP president said that the pink party was filled with those who opposed Telangana while sending out the real fighters of Telangana. “I wanted to know on which premise Telangana betrayers such as Tummala Nageswar Rao, Mahender Reddy and T. Srinivas Yadav were given Cabinet posts. Mr. KCR has no time to talk to the JAC chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram, ” he said.

Saying that KCR joined hands with MIM with an eye on the GHMC elections, he said that the former became a puppet in the hands of the party which spoke against Telangana in Parliament. Former MLA Y. Lakshminarayana said the Graduate MLC elections indicated that BJP was the best alternative political force in the State. He alleged that the BJP led panchayats were being discriminated in the allocation of funds. Former MP Kespally Ganga Reddy, party senior leaders L. Bhoopathi Reddy, A. Srinivas, and N. Anjaneyulu were present.
