The BJP district unit leaders wanted the Chief Minister to fulfil his earlier promises before making the new ones during his ongoing tour to the district here on Saturday.

BJP district president A. Ashok Reddy and Prof K. Venkatanarayana said they welcomed the Chief Minister’s stay in Warangal district, but doubted the intentions.

They said Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao was targeting the ensuing municipal elections and hence camped in Warangal.

The promises made before the elections and shortly after elections such as land to Dalits, fee reimbursement to students, jobs and others were not fulfilled so far. “Over hundreds farmers committed suicides due to lopsided policy of the government. Neither the Chief Minister nor any Minister ever visited any family,” they pointed out.

The BJP leaders urged the Chief Minister to stop making lofty promises and focus on fulfilling the already promises.

The State government had undertaken survey of households for several times. Again the Chief Minster during his visit to slums in Warangal ordered for fresh survey. “How many times the government seeks information? Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao is just hoodwinking people,” Mr. Ashok Reddy said.

The BJP leaders opined that the Chief Minister rather focusing on sorting out the problems is trying to divert the attention of public on new problems. According to him, the people were not ready to believe in any fresh promises of the Chief Minister.
