Member of Parliament Kalvakuntla Kavitha parried a question on whether her party would align with a national party, but was quick to add that her party would oppose tooth and nail the injustices to Telangana at all platforms, including the Parliament.

Fielding a volley of questions at the ‘Meet the Press’ programme conducted by the Press Club of Nizamabad, here on Sunday, she said that she had fulfilled about 80 per cent of her promises made to people during electioneering.

Replying to a question, she said that it had become a passion for the Opposition to point an accusing finger at the KCR family for every failure and lapse. The Chief Minister and his government have zero tolerance for corruption and therefore are ordering immediate inquiries into reports and allegations, she said.

Expressing hope that the Union government would earmark ample funds for executing the ongoing Peddapally-Nizamabad railway line works in the coming budget, she said the works could not be completed with just Rs.18 crore for the remaining 25 km long line in the last budget.
