In order to dissuade the rural youth from joining the naxalite-fold, the Karimnagar district police have conducted a mega counselling programme for the youth in the interior Kataram mandal headquarters on Monday.

Under the caption of “Mundadugu”, the police had conducted a mega counselling programme by hypnotist and counsellor BV Pattabhiram and OU research scholar Naresh. Superintendent of Police D Joel Davis, OSD L Subbarayudu, CRPF additional commandant Manoj Kumar, Godavarikhani DSP Malla Reddy, Kataram CI A Mahesh and others were also present.

As part of the programme, the police had conducted basic physical tests of height and chest expansion for the unemployed youth to provide physical examinations training for the recruitment to various armed and police recruitments. Around 300 candidates were short-listed for the training programme. The police had also distributed 850 blankets to the inmates of various social welfare hostels.

On this occasion, the SP called upon the youth to set a goal to excel in their career instead of spoiling their precious life by joining the extremist fold.

Informing the youth about the importance of education and hard work, he motivated them by quoting examples of various persons who excelled in their career by overcoming all hurdles.

Hypnotist Pattabhiram had counselled rural youth about the abundant employment opportunities in the public and private sector.
