Karimnagar Member of Parliament B. Vinod Kumar, who is also chairman of Telephone Advisory Committee (TAC) of BSNL Karimnagar district, has asked the BSNL authorities to pass a resolution for the setting up of all new BSNL offices in the newly formed districts in the state for effectively reaching out to the customers.
Participating in the first ever TAC meeting in the BSNL office here on Monday, the MP said that the State Revenue Department and others had opened their branches in the new districts by bifurcating the staff.
He asked the BSNL authorities to inquire from their counterparts as to how were they functioning in the newly formed districts of Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and other states and take measures for the opening of BSNL offices in new districts soon.
The MP also expressed concern over continuation of Andhra Pradesh being shown on caller-ID information for mobile phone connections of the customers in Telangana in spite of formation of State three years ago.
Expressing concern over the declining numbers of the BSNL landline phones with the advent of cellular phones, he hoped that the good old days would come back with the BSNl offering several sops to the land phone users including free night calling etc.
Stating that there were complaints of call dropping on the Rajiv Rahadari and poor signal, he also wanted the authorities to take measures for the proper cellular phone signals on that highway having higher density of traffic than the National Highway.
He asked the BSNL authorities to provide internet facilities to the India Post’s sub-post offices in Ailapur, Anthakapeta, Nerella, Sirikonday, Rudrangi, Tadur, Polasa, Marripalli etc.
He sought internet facility for the Sircilla sub-registrar office and the document writers in Rajanna-Sircilla district. The BSNL Karimnagar district had announced launching of Digital Satellite phone for the consumers in the district, he said. BSNL General Manager P. Sudhakara Rao and others were also present.
