‘Kalyana Lakshmi’ scheme from Dasara

Kalyana Lakshmi’, the pet scheme of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, will be implemented from Dasara festival onwards. Under this scheme, Tribal and Dalit women who are getting married will be presented Rs. 51,000 as wedding gift by the government.

Mr. Rao, an official press release said, asked officials to prepare the budget for launch of the scheme, which he would be launching in one of the districts. The release added that a similar scheme for Muslim women would also be started shortly.
