June 23, 2015 01:23 pm | Updated June 24, 2015 05:17 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Former Congress MLA and actress Jayasudha has refuted reports that she was getting closer to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and asserted that she was very much a member of the Congress party.

Emerging after a breakfast meeting with Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy at his residence, she said she had nothing more to say. Mr. Reddy said it was not true that she was removed from her position as Constituency incharge. “She is a loyal Congress party leader and we will utilise her services in any way it is deemed fit,” he said.

“I cannot say anything more because the media created such reports. As an actor, I know there are no boundaries to art and language. So according to the party’s wishes, I will be working for its success, not just in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, but all over Hyderabad and Telangana State,” she told presspersons.

Replying to a question she said that Secunderabad was close to her heart, having represented the constituency. “I will definitely have more focus on Secunderabad constituency,” she asserted.
