YSR Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in Assembly Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday launched tirade against the State government on the second day of his Rythu Bharosa yatra in Anantapur district.

Speaking at a public meeting organised in Dharmavaram, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy, who met families of few weavers who had committed suicide, , accused the government of playing with the lives of farmers and weavers in the State.

“What have you done for their (farmers, weavers and SHG’s) welfare after you came to power,” he asked TDP president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The YSRC president said no bank was giving fresh loans to farmers, weavers and SHG’s; thereby making them dependant on money-lenders.

“Any one of you unemployed getting Rs 2,000 per month as promised by the State government”, he asked the crowd.

Stating that some weavers were warned against going to public meeting, the YSRC president said the government was trying to stifle the voice of the Opposition. MLA Venkatrami Reddy was present.
