The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has selected Vijayawada as one of the stations where passengers would be supplied food from branded outlets.
The modalities are being worked out and the scheme would be launched soon, Vijayawada divisional railway manager (DRM) Ashok Kumar told The Hindu on Friday .
He said the branded outlets chosen would obviously differ from one region to another due to logistical issues. “It can be McDonalds, KFC or Subway,” he said
