For those who spend their days indoors to avoid scorching heat, the 35th All India Industrial and Agriculture Exhibition, which is under way at the sprawling Government Polytechnic College for Boys here, has proved a good entertainment in the evening.

The exhibition began in the first week of this month and it has seen young and old people alike visiting the stalls in large numbers.

The exhibition has a range of products and popular among those are garments, footwear, jewellery and others. For foodies, the exhibition has a lot to offer.

About 250 merchants from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Hyderabad have set up stalls, according to Bantu Rajeswar, secretary of the exhibition society.

Indur Exhibition Society, the oldest and the second biggest next only to the Hyderabad Society, organises the exhibition every year. Earlier, the exhibition used to be organised on Khaleelwadi ground before it was allotted the Government Medical College. Mr. Rajeswar said between 6,000 and 7,000 people were turning up for the exhibition every day and on Sundays, the turnout reached up to 10,000. Magic shows and cultural programmes were also being organised with minimal entry fee. The exhibition will continue till June 10.
