‘Implement Haritha Haram successfully’

Priyanka Varghese, Officer on Special Duty at Chief Minister’s Office, has directed the officials to create concrete plans for the successful implementation of ‘Harita Haram’.

Addressing a meeting of officials held here on Wednesday, Ms. Priyanka said that Medak should be a model for other districts in following the implementation of the scheme.

Stating that all the public representatives of villages should be involved in the programme, she said that a meeting with them should be held in this regard.

Referring to the schools, Ms. Priyanka said that students should plant two saplings at their house.

The industries manager was directed to convince industries to develop plantation for stretches where they can put their display boards.

Nurseries identified

Joint Collector A. Sarath said that 478 nurseries were identified for this purpose. He has informed that plantation would be taken up in 10 acres in every village.
