Heat torments people in Adilabad

Adilabad recorded a maximum day temperature of 43.5 degree Celsius for the second successive day on Friday tormenting people. The climbing mercury could lead to a heat wave, going by past experience. According to Agronomist D. Mohan Das of the Adilabad Agriculture Research Station, hot winds blowing from the North are the cause of the steady rise in temperatures. here. Temperatures will shoot up further in the next four days, he added.

There was a steady rise in temperature starting April 13 when the maximum temperature recorded was 39.1 degree C. The maximum temperature crossed the 40 degree Celsius mark on April 16.
