Justice U. Durga Prasad Rao of the Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday directed the Cyberabad police to place the details of investigation into the cases registered with regard to Miyapur land scam before the court.

The judge was dealing with bail petitions by P S Parthasarathi, director of Trinity Infra Ventures Ltd and PVS Sharma, director of Suvishal Power Generation Ltd, accused in the scam. Police had registered a case against the petitioners with regard to the alleged illegal registration of lands.

The accused had applied for bail and the trial court at Cyberabad had rejected the plea. The public prosecutor urged the court to grant some time to place all the details of the investigation. The judge posted the case to June 13.

Environment Science

The AP and Telangana governments informed the Hyderabad High Court that they have introduced Environment Science as a compulsory subject from primary school to high school level. This information was placed before division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice T Rajani.

The bench was dealing with a PIL filed by T. Dhangopal Rao who complained that the two states were not enforcing compulsory education on Environment Science in spite of Supreme Court directions in this regard. Both the state governments produced all the textbooks from first standard to tenth standard as proof that the subject was being taught. This subject was introduced by the AP government from first standard and the TS government has made it compulsory from third standard. The bench adjourned the case by a week and asked the petitioner to go through the textbooks.
