HC asks Ramky Infra to register sale deeds

March 09, 2017 11:11 pm | Updated 11:12 pm IST - Hyderabad

Justice S. V. Bhat of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday directed the State Housing Board and Ramky Infrastructure Pvt Ltd to execute sale deeds in favour of the persons who paid money for flats in Ramky Towers at Gachibowli.

The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Gayatri Shaker and 150 others . They told the court that they had paid money for the joint venture project but they were not getting the flats as the board maintained that Ramky had not constructed flats for the poor as per the agreement. The failure of Ramky could not be used to harass them.

Despite the recommendation of the Cabinet Sub-Committee for extension of the agreement neither the board nor Ramky Infra had been taking steps to resolve the dispute. Counsel appearing for Ramky submitted that his client was prepared to take up construction of houses for the poor. Counsel for the board said if Ramky was prepared to construct houses for poor, they would withdraw instructions for stopping the registration. The judge said all these would be resolved in two weeks and registration would be done after four weeks.
