GRP seize 14.7 k.g. of gold at Kazipet

The Kazipet Government Railway Police seized 14.700 kg of gold from two persons while carrying out regular checking on Inter-City Express here on Thursday.

Circle Inspector Madhusudhan said that the two persons were gold merchants and showed documents against the purchase of the same. However, the police referred the case to Commercial Taxes and Income Tax Departments to verify the veracity of the documents and legality of the transaction. The two were proceeding to Sirpur from Hyderabad.
