Government to release Rs. 300-cr. grant to TSTRC

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday met Transport Minister P. Mahender Reddy, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) chairman Somarapu Satyanarayana, and managing director G.V. Ramana Rao, and said the government would release Rs. 300 crore as a financial grant.

When he met the senior official at the camp office, before the announcement of a fare hike was made by the Transport Minister, the Chief Minister was told that the corporation urgently required a loan of Rs. 350 crore exclusively for buying new buses.

He asked them to take steps and ensure that employees and officials worked together to bring the corporation back on the path to profits.
