Police on Saturday arrested two burglars and recovered gold worth Rs.13 lakh, a laptop and six American dollars from their possession here on Saturday.

Superintendent of Police A.K. Jha said Central Crime Station police arrested Thakur Jagan Singh and Thakur Bharath Singh who were involved in burglaries since 2011. They belonged to Ashok Nagar of Karimnagar district. In 2012, they had been arrested by Medipalli police in Hyderabad and in 2013, by Karimnagar police.

On release from prison, they took to crime again. In Warangal district, they were involved in 13 cases of house burglaries and one in Siddipet of Medak district.

A special team under the supervision of Crime DSP K. Eswar and Inspector L. Adinarayana arrested them near Pothana Nagar in Warangal city on Saturday morning. During interrogation, they confessed to their crimes.

The SP has appealed to people to keep the police informed of those moving about suspiciously in their colonies and also keep the neighbours and police informed when leaving the house locked.
