Godavari Antya Pushkaralu from July 31

Another festival season is round the corner with the Antya Pushkaralu at the river Godavari from July 31 to August 11 in various parts of Karimnagar district.

The Godavari Pushkaralu were held from July 14 to 25 last year and this festival would close with the Antya Pushkaralu at the river.

The pushkaralu would be held at Sri Laxminarasimha Swamy Devasthanam in Dharmapuri, Sri Kaleshwara Muktheeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Kaleshwaram, Koti Lingala, Manthani and other villages along the shores of river Godavari.

Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar reviewed the arrangements for the Antya Pushkaralu at Dharmapuri shrine in the district on Saturday night.

Stating that they were expecting more than one lakh pilgrims every day for taking holy bath in the Godavari, he asked the authorities to gear up for the occasion by making all arrangements for the pilgrims. He also promised to allocate funds from the government and released a poster on the occasion.
