Constables selected for training were asked to make best use of their time and resources during the period.

North Zone Inspector General of Police Y. Nagi Reddy inaugurating a nine-month training programme for the newly recruited constables said they should equip themselves with sound knowledge that would help them discharge their duties effectively. “Once this training is over, you cannot learn outside. You dedicate all your time here and it will help you shine in your career,” he said.

The State police recruitment board announced the names of the stipendiary cadet training constables in which 11,023 candidates were selected for training under various departments. Mr. Nagi Reddy said that all the selected candidates were being trained at different training centres in the State.

“These candidates would be given training in drill, parade, exercise, weapon handling, IPC, CRPC, computers and all the contemporary legislations. It is our duty to ensure law and order in the State. Only then people from all areas would come forward to set up business here which would lead to employment to the local youth,” he said.

Later, the IG distributed laptops to all the trainees. This is being done for the first time in the country. The CTC principal Venu Gopal Rao, Vice-Principal Satyanarayana, and ACPs were present.
