Marking World Heritage Week, the Department of Archaeology and Museums provided schoolchildren free entry into Panagal Archaeological Museum on Wednesday. Dozens of students from various schools in Nalgonda visited the museum on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, assistant director B. Ramulu Nayak said they would also conduct elocution and drawing competitions for schoolchildren on the museum premises on November 25. The topic will be Kundur-Chola Dynasty.

Inviting schools and parents from across the district to visit the museum along with their children during the week to avail the free entry, Mr. Nayak also called upon them to participate in the competition in large numbers.

Museum officer P. Nagaraju explained to the students the history behind the artefacts present in the museum. He said that children could experience history first-hand here.
