Four robbers arrested

April 21, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - KHAMMAM:

The Khammam rural police have nabbed four members of an inter-State gang of robbers and seized sharp-edged knives from their possession on the outskirts of the town late in the night on Sunday.

Another member of the gang hailing from Madhya Pradesh reportedly managed to escape after allegedly making a vain bid to attack the police personnel during a night patrol on the banks of the Munneru river near the Rajiv Gruha Kalpa complex late on Sunday night, according to police sources. The rural police have launched an intensive search operation to apprehend the absconding member of the gang.
