Four new industrial parks notified

IT parks too notified as industrial townships

The Government on Wednesday notified four new industrial parks as industrial townships to function as separate local authorities — Madhapur, Ibrahimpatnam, Qutubullapur and Warangal. Similarly, IT parks in IT SEZ Nanakramguda and Gachibowli have also been notified as industrial townships.

Principal Secretary Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar issued orders to this effect. Madhapur IALA comprises Hyderabad Knowledge City Raidurg, Miyapur.

Qutubullapur IALA comprises Industrial parks at Gajularamaram. Ibrahimpatnam IALA comprises Kongarakolam, composite manufacturing cluster at Ibrahimpatnam and Warangal IALA comprises IT Park, Textile Park Madikonda and Kakatiya Textile Park.

Infrastructure activities

The TSIIC has been a facilitator in developing IT, ITES, SEZs in the State and has been taking up various infrastructure development activities like laying and maintenance of roads, lakes and drainages, among others in the IALAs as well as in surrounding areas beyond IALAs.

The government was requested to declare certain industrial parks as industrial townships so that they can function as local authority for all practical purposes and they will be out of jurisdiction of the urban local bodies. About 35% of the revenue from these industrial townships shall be shared with the local bodies concerned, according to the orders issued on Wednesday.
