Flash mob at Vaageshwari College to discourage eve-teasing

In order to discourage eve-teasing and ragging in educational institutions, the police department, in collaboration with Vaageshwari educational institution, conducted a flash mob at Vaageshwari College, here on Saturday.

As part of the flash mob, the students of Vaageshwari College of Engineering and Pharmacy performed on songs composed by the police department, discouraging eve-teasing and ragging in educational institutions. They also carried placards and banners whilst the onlookers cheered and encouraged them. Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police V. Shiva Kumar said that ragging and eve-teasing were causing mental agony to the student community.

Empowering students about various laws to deal firmly with people involved in ragging and eve-teasing, he called upon the society to play a responsible role in the eradication of the dreaded practice of eve-teasing and ragging. Karimnagar DSP P. Ravinder, Rural CI Narender, SI Damodar Reddy, Vaageshwari college general secretary G. Srinivas Reddy, joint secretary D. Srinivas Reddy, principal Ch Srinivas and Anjaneyulu and others were present.
