Fake gold bars: three arrested

The Khammam Two Town police have arrested three persons on charges of transporting fake gold bars and trying to sell them to unsuspecting persons near Yellendu crossroads here on Friday.

According to sources, a police team intercepted a car on the Yellendu road and seized fake gold bars weighing around 2.5 kg from three occupants of the vehicle. The police detained the trio and seized the car. The arrested persons were identified as Mohd. Ibrahim of Mulugu, G. Sudhir and G. Shankar of Bhadrachalam. The trio allegedly procured the fake gold bars from a person in Sironcha in Maharashtra.
