A two-week AICTE-sponsored faculty development programme “Hands on approach of OFDM system designing in MATLAB” got underway at Department of ECE at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS).

Inaugurating the programme, NIT Director N.V. Ramana Rao said faculty development programme offers a technical platform to learn and train the young teachers in the technical domain and this one was on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Noting that most of the technical institutes lacked well-trained faculty, he said it was essential for the faculty to keep abreast of technology that is rapidly changing.

“Young faculty members must update their knowledge and communicate to the students in a better way. Hands on approach is the real training for the delegates and most relevant to the advanced hardware and software topics in the domain of electronics and communication engineering,” he said and appreciated the organizers
