Adilabad Superintendent of Police Tarun Joshi on Thursday launched the Enterprise eCOPS, a computer programme which integrates its own applications such as the 3rd Eye and State Crime Records Bureau. He said the programme will make police functioning citizen friendly and transparent. Other advantages of the programme, according to the SP, is that it provides investigating officers with tools, technology and information and facilitates interaction and sharing of information between police stations and other arms of the police department.

Sangareddy Staff Reporter adds: Enterprise e-Cops software, a part of Crime Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), was launched at the Town Police Station in the district head quarters on Thursday by Superintendent of Police B. Sumathi. This gives an advantage to the police to have multiple options with single ID whereas in the earlier version one has to have multiple IDs for multiple options. The updated software gives access to police personnel from Station House Officer to Senior Officer to track the status of cases online.
