The district administration is taking all measures to strengthen the Anganwadi centres by introducing English medium education on par with the corporate pre-primary schools, said Collector Neetu Prasad.

Participating in the Anganwadi Badi Bata programme where ‘Aksharabhyasam’ for the tiny tots was organized at Kala Bharathi on Monday, the Collector said that they were planning to provide pre-primary teacher training course to the Anganwadi teachers and help them teach in English medium. She also said that they would relocate the Anganwadi centres into the Government primary school buildings.

Karimnagar Legislator G. Kamalakar called upon the Anganwadi ayahs to maintain proper sanitation at the Centres and check the spread of diseases. Later, a couple from Hyderabad Uday Bhaskar and Suvarchala adopted an orphan girl Moksha residing in Bala Sadan here.

The Collector and MLA felicitated the couple. They also felicitated the parents for sending their children to Anganwadi centres. ICDS Project Director M. Radha and others were present.
