The Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (JAC) will adopt one tank in each mandal of the eastern side of the district aiming at its revival through contribution of physical labour.

JAC leaders asserted that the State government employees, who earlier played a key role in struggle for Telangana, also have an important role to play in rebuilding of the State.

A large number of State government employees on Sunday participated in the desiltation of Rangampet tank near Mancherial.

Mancherial Tahsildar and president of Gazetted Officers’ Association, K. Suresh Babu, said the employees will contribute a day’s salary towards making ‘Bangaru Telangana’ a reality.

Mancherial Mandal Parishad Development Officer Narender, PRTU leaders Parvati Satyanarayana and Mancherial MLA N. Diwakar Rao also participated.

Earlier, the JAC members took out a rally from TNGO Union Bhavan to the tank.

At Nirmal too, government employees under the aegis of Employees JAC took part in Mission Kakatiya programme.

They carried out desiltation in Tummala Cheruvu in Yellapalli village.
