In a joint operation, Ichoda forest officials and police seized an elephant tusk estimated to be worth Rs. 4 lakh and arrested three persons on the charge of smuggling on Wednesday. The tusk, apparently brought from elsewhere, was found with Dattatreya Shinde and his sons, Avishekhar Shinde and Adhar Shinde, all residents of Adilabad. Ameer of Sirikonda in Ichoda mandal, who is the fourth accused is absconding.
