DSC-qualified candidates seek appointments

November 27, 2014 10:21 pm | Updated 10:21 pm IST - WARANGAL:

Candidates who qualified the District Selection Committee (DSC) exam in 1998 have urged the State government to consider their case and issue appointment letters immediately.

The Education Department officials, who colluded with some political leaders, gave jobs to less meritorious students, complained Gopu Mahender Reddy and P.R. Srinivas, who had written the exam.

Stating that not all notified posts were filled by the government, they said they moved the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal which on December 4, 2009 directed the government to issue appointments to the petitioners.

The then government moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court which upheld the order of the Tribunal and directed the government on November 8, 2011 to implement the same.

They requested the Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, to consider their case with empathy and help them get appointment letters.
