Draw of lots for school admission

A draw of lots was held at the old DEO office at Recob Bazar here on Tuesday to select the students for admission into the newly-set-up Minority Residential School for girls slated to become operational from June 14 this year.

The State government has sanctioned a total of five Minority Welfare Residential schools two in Khammam, one each in Kothagudem, Yellendu and Sattupally towns in the district. The residential schools will become functional under the aegis of the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) from 2016-2017 academic year. Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar inaugurated the process.
