An engineering graduate has proved the adage ‘Where there is a will there is a way’ right by giving up his software job to become an entrepreneur.

K. Gopi of Asireddypalli in Chityal mandal started ‘Dosa Junction’ where he sells about 70 different varieties of dosas on a mobile van that has become a hit among people of Hanamkonda here.

The menu has Teenmaar dosa, chocolate dosa, Telangana open dosa, prakruthi dosa, Mexican dosa and others that has people visiting the place often to try new dosas.

Gopi, who did B.Tech in electrical engineering, said he worked in software marketing in Hi-Tech City for three years. “Work was exhausting and I observed that many eateries around that place were doing well. I thought I can set up one at my own place in Hanamkonda and that’s how the idea was born,” he explained.

He was encouraged by his brother Tirupati, who is also a software engineer. He got Tata Ace vehicle customised for his needs with his savings and hired four persons. The popular eatery is near Hayagreeva Chary compound in Balasamudram where a large number of people are seen digging into their favourite dosas every day.

Gopi hired a special chef from Udipi, Ravi Raj, for the purpose. With the help of his team, he succeeded in securing a standard customer base and his business is growing with each passing day. “At first, it was like an adventure, but now I am happy with my work,” he said.
