Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will convene a meeting at his farmhouse at Erravelli on Sunday to discuss the developmental programmes of Gajwel Assembly constituency, represented by him.
The meeting will review basic infrastructure available in villages, including power, medical aid, roads and drinking water. Invitations asking officials of all departments, sarpanches, MPTCs, ZPTCs and municipal councillors in the constituency to attend the meeting have been despatched, an official release said.
Another release said Mr. Rao had asked the Medak Collector to acquire two acres of land in Gajwel town for the construction of an auditorium with a capacity of 2,000. He also wanted proposals for the construction of a complex in Gajwel to house all government offices in one place. Collector Rahul Bojja and Special Chief Secretary of Tourism B.P. Acharya were present.
Mr. Rao left instructions to the Committee of Principal Secretaries, headed by Special Chief Secretary K. Pradeep Chandra, which is going into irregularities in finalisation of tenders for solar pumpsets, to also look into issues relating to the pay revision of employees. He wanted repatriation of employees of roads and buildings, panchayat raj and irrigation who are on deputation to their parent departments. He also directed the police to book cases against farmers who drove tractors on roads with cage wheels that are deployed in fields.
