The Telangana State council of Communist Party of India (CPI) has expressed disappointment over denial of representation to women and Scheduled Tribes (ST) in the Cabinet of K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said in a statement on Monday that any government could win the faith of all sections only if it maintains social balance and gives representation to all sections.

Earlier, a team of CPI comprising K. Narayana, Mr. Venkat Reddy, Palla Venkat Reddy, S. Venkateshwarlu, G. Mallesh and R. Ravindra Kumar participated in the oath-taking ceremony of the first Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, and his Cabinet.
