CPI (ML) leader Kanneganti dead

Communist Party of India (ML)-New Democracy leader Kanneganti Narsimha Rao passed away after a brief illness here on Thursday. The 76-year-old leader is survived by wife Vanajakshi, son Ravi and two daughters.

Belonging to Rayakur of Kotagiri mandal Narsimha Rao was first associated with CPI, CPI (M) and continued in the CPI (ML)-New Democracy after the party was split. He was an untiring social activist and though was not having much formal education used to campaign on the significance of education and teaching methods in schools. He also wrote a couple of books on education.

His body was donated to the Government Medical College here after condolence meeting at N.R. Bhavan. Senior advocate Gorrepati Madhava Rao, party leaders Akula Papaiah, Godavari and others paid homage to him and condoled the bereaved family members.
