A young couple jumped before a running train at Brahmanpally in Toopran mandal of Medak district in the wee hours of Thursday leaving behind their infant daughter.

The couple identified as Kashinath (25) and his wife Devendra (23) left their 10-month old baby on the platform and ended their lives.

The victims are said to be natives of neighbouring Kamareddy district. On information, Kamareddy railway police rushed to the spot. The bodies were shifted to the Government hospital at Toopran for autopsy. Kamareddy railway police have registered a case and are investigating.

Kashinath had purportedly written a letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao stating the reasons for their suicide and who were responsible for that. The baby is presently under the care of railway police.
