Cong. MP irked at not being invited

June 02, 2014 07:56 pm | Updated May 24, 2016 04:20 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Congress Rajya Sabha member Rapolu Anand Bhaskar has dashed off a letter to Telangana Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on why he did not get any invitation to attend the swearing-in of the Governor and the Council of Ministers of Telangana.

Expressing anguish for being ignored, Mr. Bhaskar said he wanted to be a part of the historic achievement of statehood by making a symbolic presence on the occasion.

He wanted the Governor to verify the circumstances under which the invitation was not sent.

He said if the explanation was not satisfactory, he would address a letter to the Privileges Committee of the Rajya Sabha through the Chairman.
