Mild commotion prevailed in the Zilla Parishad general body meeting when a Congress ZPTC member attended the meeting carrying his licensed revolver at the ZP Conference Hall in Karimnagar on Monday.

The ZP general body meeting was discussing the agricultural scenario in the district. Irked over denial of chance to speak over the issue, the Kataram Congress ZPTC member Narayana Reddy stood up and protested. During the period, the TRS ZPTC members noticed his revolver around his waist and lodged a protest for carrying a weapon into the meeting hall.

Heated exchanges took place in the general body meeting between the TRS and Congress ZPTC members. Karimnagar legislator Gangula Kamalakar and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Tula Uma found fault with the ZPTC member for carrying weapon into the meeting hall.

Mr. Narayana Reddy came out of the meeting hall and handed over the weapon to his bodyguard outside. Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad, Joint Collector Pausumi Babu, MLC P. Sudhakar Reddy and others were also present during the period.
