Collector pulls up doctors

Collector Rahul Bojja pulled up doctors of the medical centres where no normal deliveries were performed.

The meeting of the medical officers which was held at the district hospital on Friday, was presided over by the Collector.

Stating that many of the private hospitals were suggesting pregnant women to go for C-Section, he said that doctors should hold counselling for the pregnant women as well as their parents about the importance of normal delivery.

“Even after having the best facilities at medical centres, some doctors failed to perform deliveries, which was not proper and unwarranted he asked.

District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Balaji Pawar and others were present.
